Moog Muse Synthesizer: 8-Voice Analog Polyphonic Architecture & Performance Review

Moog Music has officially entered a new era of polyphonic analog synthesis with the flagship Moog Muse—an 8-voice bi-timbral polyphonic synthesizer crafted in Asheville, North Carolina. Combining classic discrete Moog transistor ladder circuitry with advanced digital modulation and a stereo Diffusion Delay FX engine, Muse represents Moog’s ultimate flagship keyboard workstation.

Dual Ladder Filters & Bi-Timbral Split Architecture

Featuring two discrete voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) per voice, a dedicated overload circuit, and customizable dual transistor ladder filters (configurable in series or parallel), Muse delivers massive creamy leads, lush pads, and thunderous bass patches. Its bi-timbral engine allows two distinct 4-voice patches to be layered or split across the 61-note Fatar keybed.
